1. Be respectful and professional

Treat others how you'd want to be treated. Disagree with ideas, not people.
No harassment, hate speech, slurs, threats, or personal attacks.
No offensive, sexual, or discriminatory language. Our filter blocks it automatically, and moderators remove the rest.

2. Keep it legal and safe

No malware, working exploits, stolen data, credentials, or instructions intended to cause harm.
Security topics are welcome — share knowledge to defend, not to attack systems you don't own or aren't authorised to test.
No illegal content or activity of any kind.

3. Respect privacy

Don't share anyone's personal data, private messages, or confidential/employer information.
If you discuss a real incident, anonymise it. Never name victims or expose non-public details.

4. Post with quality

Search before posting, use a clear title, and add context (what you tried, what you need).
Post in the right category. Keep replies helpful and on-topic.
No spam, repetitive posts, or excessive self-promotion. Credit sources; don't plagiarise.

5. How moderation works

Pre-approval: your post is held as "pending review" and goes live only after a moderator approves it.
Moderators may decline or remove content that breaks these rules. Repeated or serious violations can lead to a ban.
Decisions are made to protect the community; if you think something was removed in error, contact us.

6. Recognition

Helpful contributions earn upvotes, which raise your score and rank — from Analyst all the way to CISO. Be generous: upvote answers that genuinely helped you.
